Playable Races

In this setting, almost all the races are viable. Some, however, are rarer than others. Below are two lists – Playable Races, and Non-Playable Races. Playable Races will be allowed without limitation or extra reasoning. Beside each Playable Race is a keyword: Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Extremely Rare. A common race, such as Humans, can be found nearly anywhere. On the other side of the spectrum, an extremely rare race, such as Devas, have only been seen in the world a couple times, and can expect to be greeted with a bit of extra wonder – or fear.

Non-Playable Races, on the other hand, are disallowed either because they don’t exist (Warforged, for example, haven’t been invented in this world) or because they’re generally hostile races that would get attacked on sight by any civilized location you guys are likely to frequent. Gnolls, for example, have plagued Andoria’s farmlands for years; Gnoll PCs, therefore, could expect to have a very short life expectancy if any civilized Andorian spotted them.
